Accommodation

Are these shared apartments?

Ja. Onze accommodatie bestaat uit gedeelde appartementen.

Wij maken gebruik van verschillende typen appartementen, afhankelijk van de beschikbaarheid:

Type 1 – Appartement voor maximaal 3 studenten

1 slaapkamer met 3 bedden
1 badkamer
Keuken
Geschikt voor maximaal 3 studenten

Type 2 – Groter appartement

2 tot 3 slaapkamers
2 tot 3 studenten per slaapkamer
2 badkamers
Woonkamer
Keuken
Geschikt voor ongeveer 6 tot 8 studenten

De exacte indeling van de accommodatie kan verschillen afhankelijk van het beschikbare appartement.

Can I get my own apartment?

Ja, dat is mogelijk tegen een meerprijs en is afhankelijk van beschikbaarheid. De meerprijs ligt doorgaans tussen €500 en €600.

Are the accommodations for men and women separate?

Yes. Men and women always stay in separate accommodations.

How far is the accommodation from Masjid an-Nabawi?

The apartments are located on Salam Road. The walking distance to Masjid an-Nabawi is approximately 25 to 30 minutes, depending on your pace. It is a straight line to Bab Salaam. By taxi it usually takes about 5 minutes.

Can I get my own room?

No, it is not possible to reserve a private room. A private apartment can be requested for an additional fee, subject to availability.

Is there Wi-Fi available?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available at the accommodation.

Do I need to bring my own towels?

Yes, students are required to bring their own towels.

Is the apartment cleaned during the stay?

Yes, cleaning can be provided upon request. Bed linen is also changed every two weeks. Students are expected to treat the accommodation with care during their stay and to take joint responsibility for daily cleanliness and hygiene.

Can I choose myself who I stay with in an apartment or room?

This can be arranged upon consultation. We try to take this into account where possible and depending on the layout and availability.

Umrah

Is the ʿumrah included in the program?

Yes, the organized ʿUmrah is included in the program.

When does the ʿumrah take place?

De ʿUmrah vindt plaats in de derde week van de cursus.

How many days does the ʿumrah last?

De ʿUmrah-reis vindt plaats van donderdag tot en met zaterdag.

Is the group accompanied during the ʿumrah?

Do I need to bring my own iḥrām?

Yes. Male participants are required to bring their own iḥrām.

Do participants receive an explanation beforehand on how to perform the ʿUmrah?

Yes. Prior to the trip, an online workshop is organized in which explanations are given about performing the ʿUmrah.

Are meals included during the ʿumrah?

No, meals during the stay in Makkah are not included.

How many people will I share a hotel room with in Makkah?

The hotel rooms are shared by 2 to 4 people per room.

Can I book my own hotel room?

Yes, this is possible for an additional fee and depends on availability. The exact additional fee will be determined upon request.

Can women participate in the organized ʿumrah without a maḥram?

Yes, women can also participate in the organized ʿUmrah without a maḥram.

Mahram

Is having a maḥram a requirement for participating in the program?

No. Having a mahram is not a requirement from our organization to take part in the program.

Hoe iemand naar Madinah reist of vliegt, is een persoonlijke keuze en valt onder de eigen verantwoordelijkheid van de deelnemer. Deelnemers dienen hierin zelf een afweging te maken op basis van hun persoonlijke situatie en overtuiging.

Once arrived in Madinah, having a mahram is not a requirement from our organization to take part in the program and the organized activities.
